Romans 14:1-4

1 “Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not to have quarrels over opinions. One person has faith that he may eat all things, but the one who is weak eats only vegetables. The one who eats is not to regard with contempt the one who does not eat, and the one who does not eat is not to judge the one who eats, for God has accepted him. Who are you to judge the servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls; and he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.”

Accept the one who is weak: Here Paul speaks of weak Christians. He is not speaking in a condemning way as though God is judging these believers. To the contrary, Paul is talking about how to deal with Christians who have an issue with eating. Paul is clear: The people who have issues with externals like eating and drinking are those who are weak because they regard unclean the things that God says are clean (Romans 14:14). But Paul is talking about honoring those who have different opinions instead of judging them. Paul also affirms that those who do not have issues with food and drink are strong in faith, knowing their freedom in Christ.

Able to make him stand: Ultimately, God has accepted all of His children even those who are weak in faith. This is seen in God’s ability to make us stand in perfect righteousness. So, we don’t need to worry about Judgment Day because God is for us (Romans 8:31). We ought to love one another with this in mind.
